About the role

New Classrooms is seeking a passionate and experienced Product Manager to oversee planning and execution of product strategy within our personalized education offerings.  The Product Manager will collaborate with leadership and multiple teams in developing, testing, and implementing our solutions.

The Product Manager will interact across departments to gain design insights to serve as “voice of the client'' within the Agile team. The focus of this role will include generating requirements in collaboration with strategic leadership and design teams, authoring a Product Requirements Document (PRD), and determining specifications and delivery timetables for strategic planning. Successful candidates will have a proven ability to strategize the full lifecycle of product production from conception through release. This role represents a tremendous opportunity to have both strategic and tactical impact on some of New Classrooms’ most important assets. 

What you will do

  • Define the Product Strategy and Roadmap with Program leadership for development and production planning.
  • Create product strategy documents to include business cases, use cases, revenue forecasting, and ROI.
  • Understand and maintain fidelity to the academic intent to ensure the product continues to align with programmatic theory of change.
  • Determine customer needs and assess competition through market research and analysis.
  • Author Product Requirements Document (PRD)with prioritized features, justification, and analysis.
  • Serve as the “voice of the client” within the Agile Team.
  • Assess value, develop and prioritize use cases and user stories, to ensure Epics and Sprints  focus on delivering business value aligned with strategic goals and the product pipeline.
  • Improve usability, reliability and operational efficiency by continually monitoring performance metrics, User Experience, and KPI’s.

What we are looking for

  • Minimum of 4+ years of background in Product Management and/or Product Development
  • Experience collaborating with designers and developers within an Agile framework
  • Experience managing within the Ed-Tech space a plus
  • Experience in education, working with school staff and leadership a plus
  • Ability to comprehend and adjust very complex systems, achieving simplicity when applicable or desirable 
  • Experience tracking product performance and identifying areas of opportunity for improvement
  • Experience driving end to end delivery of technical products with a client focused min
  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to collect, organize, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully work in a highly collaborative and cross-functional team environment 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Flexible with a willingness to embrace change and to adapt strategies on the fly 
  • High tolerance for ambiguity

Role Classification and Benefits

This role is full-time and includes benefits such as rich medical, dental, and vision insurance, 37 paid days off per year (prorated for the period in which you work), paid parental leave, a professional development budget of $375 annually and a quarterly cell phone subsidy.
